Automatic Float Cum Boost Battery Charger
Product Specifications & Details
The Automatic Float Cum Boost Battery Charger manufactured by General Auto Electric Corporation (GAEC) is engineered specifically for severe environments across the Indian Railways network. Built in compliance with RDSO Specification No. IRS:S:86/2000, it maintains power for critical Railway Signaling and Telecom installations—including Relays, Point Machines, Data Loggers, Axle Counters, and Control Circuits. The unit operates automatically based on battery condition, seamlessly switching between Auto Float and Auto Boost modes, while featuring a dedicated manual override powered by a separate Bridge Rectifier for zero-downtime reliability.
Key System Features
- Automatic Operation: Dynamic Float/Boost switching based on battery charge state.
- Manual Fallback: Independent Bridge Rectifier for manual override.
- High Reliability: Includes spare Control Card to minimize maintenance downtime.
- Rugged Build: Custom-designed for harsh ambient conditions in Indian Railways.
- Cell Boosting: Facility to charge up to 2 extra cells (2V each) above nominal.
- Fault Alarms: Potential-free contacts integrated for LOW DC output alert.
